The Interlochen Review

Interlochen Arts Academy's Creative Writing Division was founded in 1975 with a major grant from the Ford Foundation. Now celebrating its thirty-third year, the program includes an extensive curriculum of literary genres and interdisciplinary courses. Classes are capped at twelve students, tutorials are readily available, and notable guest writers visit several times a year. Student publications include personal chapbooks, the quarterly Red Wheelbarrow magazine and the annual Interlochen Review. Professional writers Michael Delp, Anne-Marie Oomen, Mika Perrine, Lesley Tye and a visiting Writer-in-Residence instruct courses. Students also participate fully in the Academy's rigorous academic program. Students in the writing program have earned seventeen Presidential Scholar in the Arts awards and innumerable youngARTS and Scholastic Awards, and have been published in dozens of national publications.

The Interlochen Review was co-founded by Jack Driscoll and made possible by the Ruth Mott Foundation.
