At the beginning of the academic year each Interlochen student, staff and faculty member was given a small iron ingot. On April 20, 2016 these ingots were collected for the first ever Interlochen iron pour. The ingots were melted down and used to fill student-made sand tile molds. These forged iron tiles will eventually be incorporated in a piece of art. Thank you to Interlochen Center for the Arts Comparative Arts and Visual Arts programs for coordinating this event.
