Amy is thrilled to join the Interlochen Arts Academy staff as a Residence Hall Manager! Amy graduated with a Bachelor's of Science degree from Western Michigan University, majoring in Family Studies and minoring in Psychology and Sociology. Amy also studied American Sign Language at Kalamazoo Valley Community College, earning a Certificate of Achievement. She has worked with youth in many different capacities. A lifelong dancer and musical theater performer, Amy has been a dance, theater and movement instructor, a choreographer, and a colorguard coach. Most recently, Amy was the School Programs Director at Gryphon Place, a crisis center in Kalamazoo. She is trained in suicide prevention, restorative justice, and crisis intervention. Amy looks forward to bringing her unique blend of skills and passion for the arts into her role of supporting students at Interlochen.
