Michelle was born in Los Angeles, where her love of dance, volleyball, and scholarship were kindled. Her family moved to Friday Harbor, WA on San Juan Island. Michelle comes from a boarding background, having attended Brentwood College School in BC, Canada. There, she studied academics, dance and choreography, played varsity volleyball, performed in musical theatre productions, and explored rowing, sculpture, and ceramics. She served as Residence Hall Captain, and Captain of both Dance and Musical Theatre. She graduated from UCLA with degrees in Dance and Psychology, and an Education minor. She was the Artistic Director of ICARUS Contemporary Dance and Foundations Choreography, joined the Gamma Phi Beta sorority and UCLA Rally Committee, produced the UCLA Dance Program’s Yes to Bodies, and received the LA Unbound Choreographer’s Scholarship. Michelle looks forward to joining the Interlochen team as a Residence Hall Coordinator, collaborating with students, and facilitating their personal and artistic growth.
