Friday, May 22 is hosted by Anthony McGill (IAC 91, 93, IAA 94-96). Anthony is the principal clarinet of the New York Philharmonic—the orchestra’s first African-American principal player—and maintains a dynamic solo and chamber music career. He appears regularly as a soloist with North America’s top orchestras, including the New York Philharmonic, Metropolitan Opera, and Baltimore Symphony. He is a favorite collaborator of numerous classical ensembles and artists, and has appeared at festivals including Tanglewood, Mainly Mozart, and Music@Menlo. Anthony also serves as an ardent advocate for music education in underserved communities, and for addressing issues of diversity, equity, and inclusion in classical music. In-demand as a teacher, he serves on the faculty of The Juilliard School, The Curtis Institute of Music, and Bard College’s Conservatory of Music. Anthony is a graduate of the Curtis Institute of Music.

Wednesday, May 20 was hosted by Josh Lederman (IAC 00-01, IAA 02-03). Josh is a National Political Reporter for NBC News, on the Washington-based national security and politics investigative teams. Previously, he covered foreign affairs, national security, and U.S. diplomacy for The Associated Press (AP) in Washington, D.C. From 2013 to 2017, Josh was a White House reporter for AP and traveled with President Barack Obama and Vice President Joe Biden to more than 20 countries. Josh has a master’s degree in journalism from Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism, and a bachelor’s degree in anthropology from The George Washington University. Before becoming a journalist, he was an actor and singer in New York City.

Thursday, May 21 was hosted by Alexandra Silber (IAC 95-99, IAA 99-01). Alexandra is a Grammy-nominated actor, singer, and author. After Interlochen, she continued her training at The Royal Conservatoire of Scotland in Glasgow. She made her professional debut as Laura Fairlie in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s The Woman in White. Her British stage work includes Hodel in the Sheffield Crucible’s 2007 production of Fiddler on the Roof and Julie Jordan in Carousel at The Savoy Theatre in London’s West End (for which she received a TMA Award for Best Performance in a Musical). She made her Broadway debut in Terrence McNally’s Master Class, going on to star as Tzeitel in the Tony-nominated Broadway revival of Fiddler on the Roof. Alexandra is the author of two books: “After Anatevka," a novel chronicling what happens to Hodel and Perchik after the events of Fiddler on the Roof, and “White Hot Grief Parade,” a memoir about losing her father to cancer when she was 18.
