On March 7, students from all residence halls spent their community meeting hour learning about mental health with their hallmates. Residents of DeRoy Hall watched a short video and participated in an exercise about gratitude, then spent the rest of the hour enjoying open gym in the Dennison Center. Hemingway residents had two options: a student-led meditation and yoga class or a “peace and quiet” walk on the Duck Lake campus. Earlier in March, Hemingway students also participated in a body positivity activity called “Love your Selfie.”

All of Interlochen’s campus united on March 9 to celebrate Student Appreciation Day. Academic and administrative offices put out free treats for students, and the Stone Cafeteria cooked a special dinner featuring student favorites and a frost-your-own cupcake bar. President Trey Devey visited the students at lunch to chat and hand out candy. Students, faculty and staff also enjoyed a non-uniform day.
