Fun on stage and screen

April 19, 2018

Wet and wintry weather didn’t dampen the spirits of Arts Academy students, who enjoyed a variety of indoor recreational activities in April.

On April 7, students gathered in DeRoy Center for Film Studies for a movie night. The evening’s feature was Pitch Perfect 3, which was directed by Interlochen alumna Trish Sie (IAC/NMC 84-88).

All residence halls participated in their monthly hall programming. The residents of Picasso House bonded during a lock-in event at The Writing House that included board games, movies and snacks.

On April 14, several students got creative for a cause at the second annual Drag Show. During the student-run event, the performers collected donations for the Trevor Project, a suicide hotline for LGBTQ teens. At the end of the evening students raised $130 for the project.
