Nathan was born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania before attending the University of North Texas in Denton, Texas. While at UNT, Nathan double majored in Music Education and Euphonium Performance. At UNT, he participated in concert bands, jazz bands, and chamber ensembles, put on two solo recitals, briefly studied abroad in Austria, volunteered at the American Orff Schulwerk Association national convention, and was a part of the executive board of his chapter of the music fraternity, Mu Phi Epsilon. Nathan also spent his time teaching private euphonium lessons and masterclasses, working as a marching band field technician, and spent time off running, reading, or hanging out with friends. Nathan spent the last three summers in various roles at Interlochen Arts Camp and is excited to continue at Interlochen year round.
