Russ Orlando

Russ Orlando was born in Detroit, Michigan. He earned a B.F.A. at Wayne State University, and M.F.A. in Ceramics at Cranbrook Academy of Art. He was awarded the Kresge Artist Fellowship in 2009.

His exhibitions include the Ceramic Artist Exchange – Tandem, Neumünster, Germany; Northern Clay Center, Minneapolis, Minnesota; Mattress Factory, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; Museum of Contemporary Art Detroit and the Detroit Institute of Arts. He has been a visiting artist at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and the University of Tennessee, and an instructor at Wayne State University and the University of Michigan-Flint.
